01. Can I pay only for the minutes I have parked?
Yes, in fact this is the only way. When you pay by mobile, you always pay the exact minutes that you park for.

02. Do I need to get a ticket from a parking meter?
Not anymore. You can get a digital ticket using your smartphone.

03. Where can I use the service?
You must activate parking from your car or close by; otherwise, your smartphone's GPS system may give the wrong location and your ticket will be invalid.

04. Which systems and channels can I use to purchase a ticket?
You can still get tickets using the traditional parking meter system, or you can use your smartphone. Both systems will remain available.

06. Do I need to register to use the service?
Yes, you must register first. You cannot use the service without a user account.

07. How can I register myself?
You can register from your smartphone before you park for the first time using the app. Alternatively, you can register on our website from any computer.

08. Does the system work with phones registered abroad?
Yes, in theory you should have no problems.

09. Can I use the app to park in Àrea Blava and Àrea Verda zones in towns other than Barcelona?
No, the app is only valid for Barcelona at the moment.

10. Do I need to display a time ticket, identifier or other paper ticket in the car if I pay using the mobile app?
No, there’s no need to worry about that. We receive the digital ticket you get on your smartphone so you don’t have to display a ticket in your vehicle.

11. Can I use a mobile phone to park several cars at a time?
No, the system is only designed to handle one valid ticket at any given time.

12. How do I register more than one car?
Just follow the instructions on the screen to register. You can also add all your vehicles the first time you register if you like. That way, you don’t have to remember to do it later.

13. Can I use different mobile phones to park my vehicle?
Yes, all you need to use ApparkB is a smartphone with the app installed and a user account to enter and use the app.

14. Can I buy a ticket when I already have a valid one for the same car in another zone?
No, you can only have one digital ticket open on your smartphone at any given time.

15. Does the system allow a valid ticket for a zone to be extended?
No, the purpose of Àrea Verda and Àrea Blava zone spaces is to encourage rotation and serve more users, so once you reach the maximum time limit allowed by the parking regulations, usually 2 hours, you will have to vacate the space.

16. Can I buy a ticket for more time than the limit permitted by the Ordinance?
No, the ordinance does not allow this.

17. Where should users go if they have questions or queries about how the system works?

18. How are charges paid by users?
Using the credit card you entered on your user page. Parking payments are made when you finish the operation voluntarily.

Yes, rest assured that all information is encrypted and our system complies with strict security standards.

20. How do I contest purchases or fees charged to my card or bank account by Àrea Verda if I believe they are incorrect?

21. Are there any limits on buying tickets using the app?
No, the number of times you use ApparkB is up to you.

22. Can I be sent an invoice for my expenses?
You can view and download all your statements on your user page. We do not send invoices to your home address.

23. Can I use parking meters and the app at the same time? In what circumstances?

24. Does it cost anything to download and use the app for the Àrea Blava/Àrea Verda zones?
No, it is free in both cases. The app is entirely free to download and use. We always charge the tariff shown on the parking meter. Nothing more, nothing less.

25. Do I get a receipt when I pay for a parking ticket? Where can I view it? For how long?
Yes, you always receive a digital receipt. You can check your most recent receipts in the app or on the website for up to one year.

26. How do I appeal fines if I got my ticket using the app?
You have all the information you need. You can’t lose your tickets anymore like the paper ones. You’ll find everything on your private user page.

27. How do I log in to my personal Àrea Verda page on the Internet?
It’s simple! Just log in with the details you used to create your account, your e-mail and your password.

28. What should I do if I change my car?
It’s very easy. All you do is go to your user page where you can add and remove vehicles with a single click.

29. What happens when there is no mobile network available?
You will generally need a mobile network to use ApparkB. Try to activate your Wi-Fi and park then.

33. Can I buy a ticket outside of regulated parking times?
Yes, you can begin a parking operation outside regulated parking times. You will only start to pay when the regulated parking time begins.

34. Can I cancel a penalty using the app?

Yes, it’s very simple. Just click on the relevant icon and the penalty will be cancelled in seconds.

35. I can’t remember where I parked. Can the app help me find my car?
Yes, simply click on the vehicle icon and the app will bring up a map and automatically indicate where your vehicle is parked.

36. Can I pay a penalty from the app?
Yes, no problem. All it takes is one click.

37. Can I configure the amount of warning time I get before my permitted parking time runs out?
Open ApparkB on your smartphone and go to the Configuration/Settings icon, where you can set your preferred time.

38. What will Àrea Blava/Àrea Verda zone traffic wardens do when they see there is no ticket in the vehicle? Won’t I get a fine?
There’s no need to worry! Wardens carry a mobile device that lets them check in real time whether you have a digital ticket for your vehicle

39. Where and how can I see the details of all my transactions?
You can find all the information you need on your personal page of the website, under the Transactions menu. You can also view it on your smartphone in the Transactions history.

40. How can I get the tariff more quickly?
It can take up to 60 seconds to get a valid position, depending on the geolocation setup of your mobile. To speed this up, we recommend enabling GPS location, enabling network location and turning on Wi-Fi communication.
