What is an Zero Emissions vehicle?
Are considered as Zero Emissions vehicle those vehicles (moto, car or van) classified in the DGT's Vehicle Registry as battery electric vehicles (BEV), range extended electric vehicles (REEV), plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV) with a mínimum auttonomy of 40 kilometers or fuel cell vehicles.
What is the user Electric Vehicle card?
User Electric Vehicle card identifies users of electric vehicles in the city of Barcelona.
This card allows users to recharge their electric vehicle at public network of charching points on public roads at rate of 0€. Also, users of Electric Vehicle card also are allow to park in Blue Area and Green Area spaces of the city with an exceptionally reduced rate of 100%, according to the time regulation and characteristics of each zone.
I am a resident and I own a Zero Emissions vehicle. What benefits do I have in AREA?
If you are a resident and you own a Zero Emissions vehicle, you may benefit from the excepcionally reduced rate to 100% for this vehicle in your resident zone, if that meet the requirements established for obtaining the AREA resident card, in accordance with the provisions of Fiscal Ordinance 3.12, and disposes of the electric vehicle user card that identifies it. In the case of vehicles for which the necessary data for the determination of the vehicle classification can not be available, the bonus will not be applied.

I am own a Zero Emissions vehicle but I am not resident. What benefits do I have in AREA?
To have Access to the benefits of owning a Zero Emissions vehicle, you must first obtain the user electric vehicle card (Virtual Office of the City) and meet all the necessary requirements.
With this card you can benefit from the excepcionally reduced rate to 100% when park in Blue Area and preferred Green Area (non-exclusive for residents) of the city, according to the time regulation of each zone. In the case of vehicles for which the necessary data for the determination of the vehicle classification can not be available, the bonus will not be applied.
Also, may recharge your electric vehicle at public network of charging points on public roads with rate of 0€.
How does it work?
Once you have parked your Zero Emissions vehicle in the desired Blue AREA or Green Area (not exclusive for residents) space, you must get a ticket with the excepcionally reduced rate to 100% for the time you need and that, at most, will be that determines the regulation (normally it is 2 hours). For that, should go to the nearest parking meter and insert your User Electric Vehicle Card to get a ticket. In case of parking as resident, also you could use ONaparcar residents App (resident Green Area).
In any cas, always check the vertical signage. Remember that, in spite of being Zero Emissions vehicle and having an excepcionally reduced rate to 100%, you must get a ticket. This can be digital, which do not leave inside your vehicle, or in paper issued by the parking meter, which is mandatory to display visible inside the vehicle.

Where can I park for free?
You can park free of charge in Blue Area spaces, on weekdays between 14h00 and 16h00 hours; in Green Area (not exclusively for residents) spaces, on Saturdays and public holidays between 20h00 and 08h00 hours; and in loading and unloading spaces (areaDUM), on weekdays between 20h00 and 08h00 hours. However, you must always check the vertical sign on the street.
Where can I not park?
In zones identified as Green Area Exclusive for Residents is not allowed to park unless if you are resident of that exclusive zone. These types of places, due to their characteristics, are reserved for use by residents every day of the year. In case of doubt, always check the vertical sign on the street.
