Expansion of the regulated parking Zone 14 in the Sarrià – Sant Gervasi district
As of 11 May, signposting works will begin on the extension of the Zone 14 regulated parking zone in the streets of the Sarrià neighbourhood of the Sarrià - Sant Gervasi district that were not yet part of the AREA.
Expansion of Zone 14
This action will regulate parking on the road between the limits formed by c. de Gaspar Cassadó, c. dels Esports, ptge. Blada, ptge. Llucieta Canyà, c. del Saüc, ctra. de les Aigües, Torrent de Can Caralleu, c. de Can Caralleu, c. de Vidal i Quadres, c. de la Santíssima Trinitat del Mont, c. de Pomaret, Ronda de Dalt, c. del General Vives, c. Major de Can Caralleu, c. de Can Caralleu, c. de Vidal i Quadres, c. de la Santíssima Trinitat del Mont, c. de Pomaret, Ronda de Dalt, c. del General Vives, c. Major de Sarrià, c. Ramon Miquel i Planas, av. de J.V. Foix, c. d'Eduardo Conde, pg. de Manuel Girona, c. del Marquès de Mulhacén, c. del Doctor Francesc Darder. Av. d'Espasa and c. de Montevideo, so that residents will have priority when it comes to parking and will form part of Zone 14.
The spaces that are regulated with this expansion are 701 new Green spaces and are identified with green paint. This means that, with the aim of prioritising residents' parking, non-resident vehicles in Zone 14 will only be able to park for a maximum of two hours within the regulation timetable indicated on the corresponding vertical sign and at the Green zone rate that corresponds to the vehicle's environmental label.
In addition, it is planned to create 291 new Motorbike parking spaces and 3 new DUM parking spaces.
Information for residents
All residents of this extension who own a vehicle registered to their home address will be able to park in the green spaces in Zone 14, which will be identified on the vertical sign corresponding to the Resident Rate that corresponds to the environmental label of their vehicle.
Thus, residents registered in the zone who own a car registered in Barcelona will not need to make any arrangements; from 25 May 2022 they will receive a letter at their home address informing them of their resident zone and an information leaflet on how to use the parking space as a resident.
New residents who are registered within the limits of this expansion and who are entitled to park in the AREA at the resident rate can apply for their resident parking rights at the Barcelona City Council Virtual Office, by calling 010 or by requesting an appointment at the B:SM Citizen Service Points.
Residents who were registered in Zone 24 and are now in Zone 14
Residents of the streets within the boundaries of c. Marquès de Mulhacén, c. del Doctor Francesc Darder, c. de Domínguez i Miralles, avda. de J.V. Foix, c. de Eduardo Conde and ptge. de la Rosaleda, who until now were assigned to Zone 24, will now be assigned to Zone 14.
In this case, all residents of this area who own a vehicle registered to their home already enjoyed the possibility of parking in the green spaces of Zone 24 and, from 15 June 2022, they will be assigned to Zone 14.
These residents will not need to make any type of management or modification, since with the AREA resident parking rights they currently have, they will be able to continue to obtain parking tickets under the same conditions as before. And, in the event of having resident parking tickets for Zone 24, from 15 June 2022, they will be automatically transferred to Zone 14.
In addition, from 25 May 2022, you will receive a letter at your home address informing you of the change of your resident zone and an information leaflet on the use of parking as a resident.
To obtain resident on-street parking tickets, it is recommended that users use the free ONaparcar residents mobile application. With this application it is possible to obtain tickets from one day until the end of the year at the latest. As it is a digital ticket, it can be checked securely and in real time by the parking attendant's device and, therefore, it is not necessary to use the parking meter or place a paper ticket in the vehicle. However, if necessary, a receipt can be printed out for the payment made.
The planned implementation schedule is as follows:
• 11/05- 18/05: Vertical pre-marking in the street indicating the dates on which parking will not be allowed in order to carry out marking works in each street.
• 19/05 - 15/06: Horizontal signalling work (painting of the new parking spaces in the street), vertical signalling (installation of the vertical regulation signs) and installation of parking meters, according to the dates established for each street.
• 25/05 - 08/06: to residents included in this expansion of Zone 14.
• 15/06/2022: Activation of the new spaces in Zone 14.
