Nova zona d’estacionament regulat al Districte de Sant Martí
28/09/2020

As of September 28, signaling work will begin for the implementation of a new regulated parking area in the District of Sant Martí. These actions will take place in the district of Sant Martí de Provençals for the creation of the new zone for AREA residents called Zone 27.

New Zone 27

This action will regulate the parking on the road between the limits of the Ronda de Sant Martí, c. del Pont del Treball Digne, c. de Cantàbria, Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes and c. Bac de Roda so that residents have priority when parking and will be part of the new Zone 27.

The places that are regulated with this extension are 2,390 new Green places and are identified with green paint. This means that, in order to prioritize parking for residents, vehicles belonging to non-residents of Zone 27 will only be able to park for a maximum of two hours within the regulation hours indicated by the corresponding vertical sign and with the Green Area Fee corresponding to the vehicle's environmental hashtag.

In addition, 68 new Blue area spaces, 118 new DUM area spaces and 428 new Motorbike area spaces will also be created.

Information for residents

All residents of this new zone who own a vehicle registered in their home will be able to enjoy the possibility of parking in the Green spaces of Zone 27 thus identified in the corresponding vertical sign with the Resident's Fee that corresponds to the environmental hashtag of their vehicle.

Thus, as of the second half of October, the residents of the streets that are incorporated into the regulated parking system will receive at their homes an information letter about their resident zone and an information bulletin about the use of the parking space as a resident.

Getting the tickets

To obtain on-street parking tickets as residents, it is recommended that users use the free mobile app ONparcar residents. With this app it is possible to obtain tickets from one day and, at most, until the end of the year. As it is a digital ticket, it can be checked safely and in real time by the guard's device and therefore it is not necessary to use the parking meter or to place any paper ticket in the vehicle. However, if necessary, a receipt of the payment made can be printed.

Implementation schedule

The planned implementation schedule is as follows:

  • 09/28– 10/08: Vertical pre-signalling on the street indicating the dates when it will not be possible to park to carry out the signalling work on each street.
  • 10/08 – 11/28: Horizontal signalling (painting of the new squares in the street), vertical signalling (installation of the vertical regulation signs) and installation of parking meters, according to dates established for each street.
  • 10/15 – 11/15: Postal delivery of the information letters to the neighbours included within the new Zone 27.
  • 11/30: Activation of the new places included in Zone 27.
