Ampliació de l’estacionament regulat al Districte de Les Corts
25/06/2020

As of June 25, signalling work will begin due to the expansion of the regulated parking in the District of Les Corts. These actions will take place in the area of AREA residents called ZU Zone and are a response to the suggestions made by residents through the various channels and the request transferred by the District of Les Corts itself.

Expansion of the ZU Zone

This action will regulate parking on the roadway in the streets within the limits formed by the avinguda de l’Exèrcit, carrer de Jordi Girona (between avinguda de l’Exèrcit and carrer de Joan Obiols), carrer de Joan Obiols, carrer de Trias i Giró and carrer de la Alhambra so that residents have priority when parking and become part of the ZU Zone.

The spaces regulated by this expansion are 43 new Green spaces (mixed resident and foreign parking) and are identified with green paint. This means that, in order to prioritise the parking of residents, the vehicles of non-residents in the ZU Zone may only be parked for a maximum of 2 hours within the regulation hours indicated by the corresponding vertical sign. Also, 29 new Blue parking spaces, 26 new Motorbike parking spaces and 12 new DUM parking spaces will be created in this Zone.

Information for residents

All residents of this expansion who own a vehicle registered in their home will be able to enjoy the possibility of parking as residents of the ZU Zone. Thus, during the second half of June, the residents of the streets that are incorporated into the regulated parking system will receive at their homes an information letter about their resident zone and an information brochure about the use of the parking spaces as residents.

Getting the tickets

To obtain on-street parking tickets as residents, it is recommended that users use the free mobile application ONaparcar residents. With this application you can obtain tickets from one day and, at most, until the end of the year. As it is a digital ticket, it can be checked safely and in real time by the warden's device and therefore it is not necessary to use the parking meter or to place any paper ticket in the vehicle.

Implementation schedule

The planned implementation schedule is as follows:

  • 06/10 – 06/24: Vertical pre-signalling on the street indicating the dates when it will not be possible to park to carry out the signalling work on each street.
  • 06/25 – 07/06: Horizontal signalling (painting of spaces on the road), vertical signalling (installation of the vertical regulation signs) and installation of parking meters, according to the dates established for each street.
  • 06/29 – 07/03: Postal delivery of the information letters to the neighbors included within the expansion of the ZU Zone.
  • 07/13: Activation of the new places in the extended area of the ZU Zone.
