New regulated parking area in the District of Horta – Guinardó
24/08/2020

As of August 24, signalling work will begin for the implementation of the new regulated parking area in the District of Horta - Guinardó. These actions will take place in the Vall d'Hebron and La Clota districts for the creation of the new AREA residents' zone called Zone 29.

New Zone 29

This action will regulate the on-street parking between the limits of Passeig de la Vall d'Hebrón, Avda. de l'Estatut de Catalunya, C. de Lisboa and C. de Coll i Alentorn so that residents have priority when parking and will be part of the new Zone 29.

The places that are regulated with this extension are 2,660 new Green places and are identified with green paint. This means that, in order to prioritise the parking of residents, the vehicles of non-residents in Zone 29 may only be parked for a maximum of two hours within the regulation hours indicated by the corresponding vertical sign.

In addition, 40 new parking spaces in the Blue area will also be created.

Information for residents

All residents of this new zone who own a vehicle engraved in their home will be able to enjoy the possibility of parking as Zone 29 residents. Thus, as of the first fortnight of September, the residents of the streets that are incorporated into the regulated parking system will receive an information letter on their resident zone and an information bulletin on the use of the parking spaces as a resident.

Getting the tickets

To obtain on-street parking tickets as residents, it is recommended that users use the free mobile app ONaparcar residents. This app can be used to obtain tickets from one day to a maximum of one year. As it is a digital ticket, it can be checked safely and in real time by the guard's device and therefore it is not necessary to use the parking meter or place any paper ticket in the vehicle. However, if necessary, a receipt for the payment made can be printed.

Implementation schedule

The planned implementation schedule is as follows:

  • 08/24 – 09/02: Vertical pre-signalling on the street indicating the dates when it will not be possible to park to carry out the signalling work on each street.
  • 09/03 – 09/30: Horizontal signalling (painting of the new squares in the street), vertical signalling (installation of the vertical regulation signs) and installation of parking meters, according to dates established for each street.
  • 09/15 – 09/30: Postal delivery of the information letters to the neighbours included within the new Zone 29.
  • 10/26: Activation of the new places included in Zone 29.
